IT'S ALL ABOUT MINT

Mint is everywhere. Recently I was strolling around Berlin Mitte looking for some inspiration. Waiting for the subway and watching the crowd, the wall was what really caught my eye. It was cold, rainy and windy outside and this fresh minty color reminds me of summer and sun. Can't wait to buy these mint colored heels! I am huge fan of pastel shades. Summer here we come!

EXHIBITION: THE DENIM EXPERIMENT

In addition to after show parties, fashion shows and fairs, there were also some interesting exhibitions during the Berlin Fashion Week. I joined the Fashion Performance "7 Farben Blau- Das Denim Experiment". Seven Universities from all over Germany and Switzerland have implemented the theme in different ways and developed some very creative designs. At the beginning of the show, which took place in the Museum for Communication Berlin, were shown a few Performances by students. Afterwards models have presented some really nice and fun outfits, 119 in total, on the runway. Working with different shades of blue along with some color pops, the students proposed dresses, mini and maxi skirts, hoodies, pants, tops, all made out of denim, accessorized by denim backpacks, shoes and roller skates. Some performances are reminiscent of scenes from movies such as Twilight or Alice in Wonderland, others looked like dwarfs, a ballet cast or a music box figurines. Here are some impressions.

Some trends come and go, but denim is forever. Whether it's bleached, flared, skinny or distressed, I ♥ denim. For Spring/ Summer 2012 there was a lot of denim on the runways. It's perfect for girls who love casual and comfy outfits. There are so many ways to wear summer's coolest denim trends.
